Hunger Ministry/Mary’s Food Friends is awed by the wonderful support that has been given through all the donations of food and money while we work to join fellow Americans across America in the $1

million Alan Shawn Feinstein Grassroots Hunger Campaign. Although this wonderful annual March-April Campaign ends April 30, Alan Shawn Feinstein’s efforts live on through our prayers and gifts as we try to stop hunger in its tracks.  The Hunger Walk of Greater Cleveland is coming up on May 8 and the Mini-Hunger Walk/Craft Day at Lutheran West is May 1 at CitySERVE for Building Hope in the City.

You can become involved in this war on hunger and helping others through your donation of clothes, food or funds.   Your gifts really make a difference. It is hard for one person to do it alone. It is only through the united efforts of each one of us no matter the age that our Lord’s mission of Matthew Chapter 25 is accomplished. “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me” (Matthew 25: 35-36).  

 If you are able,  please donate to Hunger Ministry with checks to St. Paul Lutheran (memo  Hunger or Hunger Walk) to become a Lutheran West mini-Hunger Walk sponsor for May 1 and a Majestic Steel Hunger Walk Team sponsor for Lutherans Against Hunger on May 8. We also need walkers for May 8. Forms are available at Coffee Hour. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans supplementation by Northwest Cuyahoga County, East Cuyahoga County, South Cuyahoga County and Lake-Geauga County Chapters is available for the Lutherans Against Hunger Challenge Goal of $15,900.
