Cornhole for Missions June 21

This summer, 55 youth and adults from St. Paul Lutheran Church will be participating in mission trips! We will be serving in the communities of Taylorsville, NC and Juarez, MX. There we will be rehabbing housing, running a VBS with the children, and working with the elderly in the communities. We solicit your prayers in this large endeavor! You can also help financially by supporting our upcoming youth group fundraisers:

  • Car Washes on the sunny Saturdays and Sundays in May! Allow the youth group to make your car sparkle!
  • Rummage Sale: June 13-14. Donations can be dropped off at church the week before; larger items will be picked up. Please SHOP at our sale—there are always treasures to be found! J
  • Cornhole Tournament for Youth Missions! Our indoor tournament was a hit! Save the date for our summer tournament: Saturday, June 21 st 5 PM.

Senior High Youth Group meets Sunday, April 20th:  After late church - 2:00 PM:   Bring $2 for pizza. We join Messiah Lutheran for a group challenge, devo, and fun in the gym! Friends welcome!

Next Generation : Youth Group meets April 8 th at the annex and April 22 nd in the gym from 7-8:30 PM. See you there!

Beulah Beach Retreat for 7 th graders takes place April 18/19.

Youth News March 2008 News:

“Summer Wednesdays”

“Summer Wednesdays” will be a chance for the youth group, and their friends, to get together over the summer! Each Wednesday that it is offered will provide a chance to study God’s Word together, and have some fun!

We are asking that parents host 1 Wednesday in the summer. The time, place and date would be your choice! We envision a short Bible study or devotion—(to be led by the students)—and food and fellowship!

Some ideas … pool party at your home, meet at the park for a picnic, softball challenge, visit nursing home residents and then pizza party, use the Annex for a movie night or DDR, Guitar Hero…, hang out at your house, giant water balloon fight, a trip to Dover Lake Waterpark…the sky is the limit! The host would plan just 1 day! We may meet on one Wednesday from 1-3 PM, the next from 7-9 PM…the times would depend on the outing! The first Wednesday would be June 25, and the last would be August 13. We break for our mission trips, and July 30th is Cedar Point so those weeks are already planned. We would like the dates and ideas finalized by May 25 so that we can send out a summer calendar.

Put your thinking caps on and get creative! Cheap and fun is the theme J!

Bible Study: Every Sunday at 10:30 in the couch room. Get into the WORD with your friends, share hi’s/lo’s for the week, pray for each other, encourage each other….see you there!
