Our Purpose

  • To provide a place of Christian nurture and care which proclaims God's Word to further the development of each child's faith.
  • To share the Gospel with all preschool-aged children and their families.
  • To provide a high-quality educational program that appropriately meets the needs in all developmental domains of each child, and anticipates a successful transition to kindergarten.

Student/Teacher Ratio

St. Paul Preschool maintains a ratio of one teacher and teacher's aid for every 15 three year olds; every 17 four year olds; and every 18 pre-kindergarten students.

Teacher and Preschool Credentials

Each teacher is properly certified and meets the standards for early childhood education in the state of Ohio. St. Paul Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Education and adheres to all regulations.

Class Times and Tuition

3-year old classes:

(Recommended 3 yrs. old by Aug. 31st of the school year)

  • 2 day (TH/F) ~ 9:00-11:30 AM
  • Yearly Tuition—$1140.

Young 4-year old classes:

( Recommended 4 yrs. old by Dec. 31st of the school year) 3 day (M/T/W) ~ 12:30-3:00 PM

  • Yearly Tuition—$1290.
  • 4 day (M/T/W/TH) ~ 12:30—3:00 PM
  • Yearly Tuition—$1440.

4-year old class:

(Recommended 4 yrs. old by Sept. 30th of the school year)

  • 3 day (M/T/W) ~ 9:00-11:30 AM
  • Yearly Tuition—$1290.

Pre-Kindergarten classes:

(Recommended 5 yrs. old by Feb. 28th of the school year)

  • 4 day (M/T/W/TH) ~ 12:40-3:10 PM
  • Yearly Tuition—$1440.
  • 5 day (M/T/W/TH/F) ~ 9:00—11:30 AM
  • Yearly Tuition—$1590.

Supply Fees of $100 for 2 and 3 day programs and $200 for 4 and 5 day programs.


Curriculum

The Preschool Program includes:

  • Bible Stories
    • Singing, Prayer time, chapel, modeling Christian Living
  • Living a Christian Life
  • Large and fine motor development
  • Emergent literacy
    • Letter recognition, stories, writing practice
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Math: Recognition and counting numbers 0-10, recognition of colors and shapes through many hands-on and interactive activities
  • Music: Songs, finger-plays, and poems
  • Social Studies: activities to help children learn about the world and people around them through cooperative interactions
  • Science: experiences, exploration, and investigation
  • Gym
  • Story Time
  • Sharing Time
  • Art Experiences
    • Painting, drawing, imagination
  • Integrated Thematic units and projects which include: puzzles, blocks, book time, field trips, and other appropriate experiences
  • Classroom visitors
    • Pastor Visits
    • Music Time
    • Library Time
    • Reading Buddies

In addition to the above developmentally appropriate curriculum, this preschool class emphasizes:

  • Spiritual development
  • Social development
  • Emotional development
  • Cognitive development
  • Physical development

Points of Interest

  • We offer orientation before the school year begins to acclimate the students to preschool.
  • Home Visits prior to the beginning of the school year.
  • Parent/Teacher conferences are held twice a year.
  • We maintain a safe drop-off and pick-up system .
  • We offer and encourage an open door policy to all parents.
  • National Lutheran School Accredited.

 

REGISTRATION: There is a $100 non-refundable registration fee per child. Registration begins in January 2009. Return registration form and fee to the school office. Tuition may be paid in full in August 2009 or you may make payments though FACTS, a tuition management system.
