We know that there may be times in which
school may be closed due to inclement weather, power outages,
etc. The travel to school by students, staff, and parents in a
safe manner is taken into consideration when we find it
necessary to close school. The following list is one which you
should refer to when determining whether or not St. Paul is
closed.
1. Please watch your television.
Especially channel 8, because they seem to get our school on the
quickest. Or go to FOX8.com and look under school closings.
2. Mr. Lehrke will contact all the
major radio stations and television stations. This decision will
be made between 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
3. If Westlake City Schools close due
to weather, St. Paul is also closed.
4. If Westlake City Schools are open,
St. Paul still could close. You would need to watch the
television or listen to the radio.
5. Our school will be listed as “St.
Paul Lutheran – Westlake”.
6. You may call the school. However,
it may be difficult for someone to be here to answer if the
school is closed.
7. Please also keep in mind that Mr.
Lehrke is responsible for the closing of school. We only have 3
calamity days that can be taken. Anything over 3 days will have
to be made up at some point in time in the school year.
