Forgive and Forget | Matthew 18:21-35
Sermon Summary:
Forgiveness is a simple concept, but very hard to live out. Even more so, we’re often told to “forgive and forget,” something that we can’t truly do. Join Pastor Josh as he dives into Matthew 18:21-35 and discusses how we are to truly forgive when we’ve been wronged.
To forgive is: “To release from moral obligation or consequence.”
We can’t actually forget other’s sins against us.
God cannot and does not forget our sins, yet he chooses to forgive us.
To forgive, I must not rely on my own strength, but must go to the source of (my) forgiveness- the cross.
Forgiveness for the Christian is not an option, it is a must.
