Pressure Creates Diamonds | Romans 5:1-11
Sermon Summary:
We all deal with suffering at different points in our lives. What do we do with it? Many people try to numb or ignore it, but Paul tells us to rejoice in it. Pastor Josh dives deeper into what that means and what that looks like.
Everyone suffers. The question becomes: what do I do with my suffering?
Distraction isn’t bad as long as it doesn’t turn into numbing our sufferings.
Burying your suffering leads you to become bitter and possibly angry.
What we should do with our sufferings: rejoice!
“A Christian can’t keep quiet about their reasons for joy.”
Our hope is not based on uncertain, future events, but on Christ’s completed work.
Instead of numbing or burying your suffering, bring it to God with hope.
The cross, Jesus’ place of great suffering, is where our hope is found.
In Christ, I am ready because I’ve been made ready (through faith).
