As Christians, we know what God wants of us- to love him and love others. At times, we can do this fairly well. But other times, we can really struggle to do this. We are at the same time a sinner and a saint. Pastor Josh walks through Romans 7 as Paul wrestles with this reality.

  1. Laws are good and are in place for our benefit.

  2. God’s Law= how God desires things to be; God’s will for things. 

  3. We know the will of the Father through our conscience and the 10 commandments.

  4. Simul justus et peccator- We are simultaneously a saint and sinner. 

  5. Your sinful nature is at war with your new and forgiven nature in Christ.
