Squeezed | Peter 3:8-22

Squeezed | 1 Peter 3:8-22
Pastor Josh

Squeezed | 1 Peter 3:8-22

Sermon Summary:

Peter, in his first letter, is writing Christians who are being heavily persecuted for their faith. He tells them, “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult.” Pastor Josh dives into this and discusses how we, as Christians, should act and treat others when we are “squeezed” and mistreated.

  • Peter was writing to Christians who were being persecuted.

  • When you “squeeze” a Christian, their joy should come out.

  • We are to always be prepared to give a reason for our hope, both in our words and our actions.

  • How do I respond better when I’m “squeezed?”

    • Constant and humble repentance.

    • Constant prayer.

  • “When I am INsulted or Assulted, I shouldn't forget that I’ve also been salted.”

In Christ, I am ready because I’ve been made ready (through faith).
