Stay Ready | Matthew 25:1-13

Stay Ready | Matthew 25:1-13

Sermon Summary:

Are you ready to meet your maker? That’s a question asked in many different forms, but it’s one that needs to be asked. Jesus gives warning about being and staying ready to meet him. Join Pastor Josh as he discusses this challenging text, and see how, for those who are in Christ, we are ready.

  • The wedding celebration didn’t start until the bridegroom arrived.

  • In this parable, the bridegroom represents Jesus, the maidens represent mankind, and the oil represents faith.

  • When Jesus returns, you are either ready, or you’re not.

  • Jesus could come back before my next breath, or a long time from now. Am I ready?

In Christ, I am ready because I’ve been made ready (through faith).
