That At The Name of Jesus | Romans 10:5-7
Sermon Summary:
The Old Testament “Great Commission” is from Isaiah: “Make known among the nations what He has done and proclaim His name” Yes, we need to not only believe in our heart that Jesus rose from the dead, but we need to confess with our mouth that “Jesus is Lord”.
We do this by two disciplines:
By humbling ourselves under His Holy Name, and
By daily living under the power of His Great Name
Since this salvation is for both (Jew and Gentile….or all nations) then we ask: “How can they hear unless we proclaim?” So St. Paul calls our witness to others beautiful feet. While the angels might question our ability to be the Lord’s messengers, Jesus has no plan “B”. He’s counting on us. So let’s get out of the boat and hop in the wheelbarrow.
