Halls of Greatness | Genesis 15:1-6; Hebrews 11:1-16; Luke 12:22-34

Sermon Summary: Hebrews 11 is often referred to as the “Heroes of Faith,” or the “faith hall of fame.” As Christians, we have a very strong connection to them, “by faith.” Join Pastor Josh as he draws upon what this connection is, what it means for us, and what it means for those around us.

  1. Going through a Hall of Fame (or something similar) gives you a strong sense of connection.

  2. In Hebrews 11, there are some “major” and some “minor” stories, but what they all have in common: they lived by faith.

  3. People who lived before Jesus still received eternal life by faith; by trusting in God’s Word/promises.

  4. You are connected in faith to the people who lived before Jesus, those who knew Jesus, those who lived after he died, and those who will come after you die.

  5. Don’t be starstruck by these heroes of faith; look to Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith.
