Out of the Mouths of Babes | Matthew 19:13-15, 21:1-17

The Power of Memory (Contemporary)

  1. Memory has the power to take you away from the present to a time that has passed.

  2. Memory also has the power to bring you more fully into the present.

Luke 24:5-8: And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” 8 And they remembered his words.

Too Good To Be True (Traditional)

  1. We do not gather on Easter simply to remember that a past event happened.

  2. How does remembering Jesus’ resurrection bring us more fully into our present lives?
